U.S. Death Toll In Iraq Tops 1600
Many people believe that the Viet Nam war ended because soldiers refused to fight.
That’s happening now with even the military admitting to 5500 people “deserting” the military and many more obtaining discharge through military channels, including discharge as conscientious objectors.
The first person to apply for Conscientious Objector status, Camilo Mejia, had his claim denied and has just come out of a year in prison for his courageous stand.
Two more resistors — Pablo Paredes and Kevin Benderman -- have also had their claims to conscientious objector status denied and face court martial on trumped up charges.
I hope you will join us on Tuesday May 10 in a national day of action in support of resistors. If you can, join our caravan to San Diego to attend Pablo Paredes’ court martial hearings or attend Kevin Benderman’s hearing in Fort Stewart, Georgia. Or check out their websites for other ways that you can support them.
